One of our shared motivations is to improve the integrity of science education by decreasing the popularity and power of science mis-education. We want to solve the problem h psi equal e psi. But when we try to talk about the wave picture or the particle picture, both are approximate, and both will change. Let us consider two examples of this idea—to see the reason that there is an uncertainty in the position and/or the momentum, if quantum mechanics is right. Such is the case for photons, for example, but also whole atoms may be bosons.
