Marion Engel Park is located in Toronto. In 1978 she published her 1st poetry book; In Dark Places. In 1991 she established an award for creative non-fiction to be presented annually at Wilfrid Laurier University. She demonstrates that women's poems are always read as by women (their gender has "almost always been" primary in their readers' minds, 22). In 1984 she married for the third time to Judge Allen Linden and became a loving step mom to three daughters. Aspiring authors may submit only poems that have not previously been accepted for publication; however, young authors who have successfully published are permitted to enter the competition.
